Visualisations and Correspondences for the Elements
These can be used in circle casting and setting up the circle
Air:
Blustery winds blowing round a hilltop (for me the element of air is the wind that always blows around the top of Glastonbury Tor – even on a calm day)
Correspondences:
The East, feathers, incense, yellow citrine, king or queen of swords tarot card.
Fire:
A blazing, crackling bonfire with dancing orange flames. Or the burning heat of the glowing, golden sun.
Correspondences:
The South, a nightlight in a glass, carnelian, ruby, king or queen of wands tarot card.
Water:
A gentle, trickling stream or crashing waves
Correspondences:
The West, a bowl of water, seashell, blue agate, clear quartz, aqua aura, King of cups tarot card.
Earth:
An ancient tree with a thick gnarled trunk and spreading roots or a centuries old standing stone weathered by the years but unmoving.
Correspondences:
The North, a bowl of earth or salt, a pebble or fossil, piece of wood.
