@Isillabell The god and goddes are not 2 separate beings, it simply is how wiccans represent the duality that rules our current reality: Passive (Negative), wich is assosiated with emotions, magic and females, and active (positive) Wich is rational thinking, actions, the sun, and male.

You have not actually acknowledged my point. I do realise that men and women are spiritually equal, that it my very point(You may notice I acknowledged this in my first comment). This is the reason I find it unacceptable. If both are equal then the worship and beliefs and so on should also be, but they are not. I may take your advice and try to find male deities that i identify with and may be empowered and inspired by. But I still think wicca is just to female orientated for me.
OR you could just realize that men and women are both spiritually equal .. much of Wicca emphasizes the female creative aspect because in the past it has been completely neglected. They’re trying to bring it back into the limelight. Instead of finding it “unacceptable” why don’t you research some more male-oriented Deities and incorporate them into your practices? Or maybe even incorporate both simultaneously? What a concept!
That is not a satisfactory answer for me. It could be argued that the male is the life giver because he gives the seed and that the female gives birth to it. Anyway I do like Wicca but many readings are feminist with the male some what irrelevant. The idea that he is merely her consort I find degrading. Well I guess this is a goddess worship religion, but i find it unacceptable.
man dont say u want to be wicca all wicca is is a religion in which instead of rejecting the thought of spiritual energy both your own and others u accept it and try to work with it in hopefully a positive way
id say they refer to the being as a godess due to the fact that women are essentially life givers and any thing that would be god in itself would be the giver of life or creator of the entire universe
You would think someone claiming such intellectual and spiritual prowess would have more control over his eating habits and physical activity. Maybe try envisioning pushing away from the twinkies, sparky.
Why is the supreme god/ess a female in wicca? Is it symbolic of a mother as a creator or is it literally that you believe that the highest god/ess is female? As a male I find don’t find it empowering. Infact I think it is empowering for females and some what subserient for female empowering. I don’t believe the such beings are actually one gender or another.

None of my comments are to be taken as Total wicca or any religeous content, this is purely a personal input. Anyone/all are wicca. It is a point of giving your self the power to influence outcomes in this world. Being it the prayer to help a friend or similar for anyone-else. You ask a higher power to invoke your will. It’s not a bad thing unless you ask for a destructive deed. So please dont!!

yes random strangers do insult my beliefs all the time. To me it is a sin to use God’s name in vain. But you can’t go for for than 10 mins in a random convo without hearing that person disrespect the same God who you love, in such a careless way. Could you imagine if the whole world said wicca is dumb as a substitute whenever something careless happened. Instead of cursing God if they cursed your beliefs?
