A portable altar that I made and decorated to have the look of a large antique book. It has 2 storage compartments & a flat altar surface.

This video is basicly what the title says. It’s about how to have an altar if your parents don’t want you doing witchcraft. Sorry about all the reading. I couldn’t do a video, because my camera is broken and I couldn’t record my voice because my microphone died. Oh well, I think the video still makes some valid points. I don’t own the music. This is my first video here in youtube, after watching a few Wiccan videos here, I decided to make a video of my altar. I’m a very old-fashioned Wiccan, I happen to be a Solitary (although I have attended group services in the past, it just wasn’t for me.)I learned all that I have through Raymond Buckland, the man who first introduced Wicca to United States. Hope you all like it, I’m certainly very fond of my altar. ^_^

This is a basic overview of the altar we use for the coven and for personal work. The table layout is in the traditional Lycian Wicca setup. Tools, etc outside the table layout are additional items we use at various times. “The Book of the Law” is any book that represents our understanding of the Divine Laws of nature. Sorry for the slight jiggling of the camera; I was holding it rather than having it mounted.

The first step is to thoroughly clean the room that will contain your altar. It is best to mix sea salt into water. If you can’t find any sea salt to use (any new age shop should have some), just use cleaning supplies you would normally use.
Scrub down the walls, ceiling and floor (if you don’t have a rug). Make sure to pick up the clutter, and organize the room as best you can. The less clutter and mess, the easier it will be to control …
